Here's the story from MSNBC.com., which shows that there were certainly more than 10 minority participants. There were in fact 314 black volunteers...INDEED. BUT, AS IS TYPICAL IN PROSPECTIVE MEDICAL RESEARCH, THE NUMBER OF POSITIVE CASES WAS PROBABLY QUITE SMALL. SO, FOR INSTANCE, IF 9 OF THE SUBJECTS IN THE IN THE PLACEBO GROUP BECAME INFECTED COMPARED TO ONLY 2 IN THE "VACCINE" GROUP, THAT WOULD BE A DECREASE OF 78%, BUT PROBABLY NOT A STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE.
