This borders on the ridiculous... Are we now going to have a round of fearing anyone with Asian characteristics because we fear they may be carriers of SARS? Let's be realistic and encourage our students to be also. A person who works in a Chinese restaurant seems no more likely to be exposed to SARS than Michael.
I have a couple of Canadian students, and Toronto has had a fair number of cases. Should the class shun anyone who's Canadian? Common sense please...
