I'm preparing to teach our Psychological Tests and Measurements class, and I am searching for very short single-construct scales for student use (to contrast with the longer measures such as the MMPI, etc.). If anyone has any suggestions for interesting, short, public domain attitude/personality/clinical measures, I would greatly appreciate it.
For example: During my search, I came across a reference to a 1982 "Weight Locus of Control" scale by Eleanor Saltzer, which consists of only four items. (Our library doesn't carry the Journal of Personality Assessment, though; does anyone know where I might contact Dr. Saltzer, or possibly have a copy of this scale laying around?)
