Dear Tipsters, I have already told Wally about this, but in Quebec, the universities have a joint agreement with UNIQ (Union des ecrivains du Quebec), which represents copyright holders in many countries, so that each university pays for a license that allows us to reproduce material. For a text, we can ccopy 25 pages or 10%, whichever is less. Individual articles may be reproduced in their entirety and chapters too, if they are 20% or less. If we want to copy more, we pay .05 per page.
So we can make up books of readings and sell them to students at cost in the bookstore. Everyone wins, I think. Sincerely, Stuart P.S. If you want further information about the details of this agreement, our Registrar is Ann Montgomery, [EMAIL PROTECTED] ___________________________________________________ Stuart J.
