In a TV interview, the leading actor of the movie (Moritz Bleibtreu) told the audience that the making of the movie was emotionally very hard. For instance, in the breaks, all "prisoners" sat together far away from the "prison guards," although some of the actors were actually friends. He also reported aggressive tendencies between the two "groups."
Thus, maybe one can say that Zimbardo is quite correct in stating that the situation has a great impact on our behavior and that the main finding of the Stanford Prison Experiment seems to be replicable.
