That's one of those things that's been kicking around for a while, spread by an evangelist who claimed she visited him on his deathbed and heard him renounce evolution. Maybe that's one of the first of the Urban Legends. Anyhow, it doesn't appear to be true, having been denounced by his daughter Henrietta, who was at his deathbed when he died. And, knowing Darwin's determination, it just seems very unlikely. (As do most Urban Legends.)
