Hi Stephen I thought about that too but my concern is that a movie will elicit a range of emotions other than the basic emotion of positive or negative affect. For example, many movies that make you feel happy or sad also temporarily influence emotions such as hope, disgust, fear, excitement, sorrow, longing, etc. Are there films that just elicit a positive (or negative) mood without other emotions? I have not read the reference you provide so perhaps they address my concern. Marie Stephen Black wrote: On 9 Oct 2003, Marie Helweg-Larsen wrote:Thanks to Sybil and Annette for their help.
