OOOPS! so now does that call into question everything on their websites?
Perhaps it just means we need to look at their info, in general, carefully 
before disseminating :-)

I looked at the one Mike suggested and thought it looked pretty good to me.....
But then Mike and I have had some conversations back channel that have taught 
me that I need to revise my thinking about vision!

For example, I made a statement to the original postee that the afterimage 
might be considered a PNS event; in contrast to sensory memory which might be 
considered a CNS event. It was such a nice, neat way to think of things but 
apparently I am WRONG! It turns out that there is quite a bit of evidence that 
the visual sensory system is unique in that even at the peripheral organ level, 
so to speak, the evidence suggests it is CNS in its structure and process. So I 
hope those who read my first post read this one as well!
