How valid is the concept of the "triune brain"? Is it more than just 'pop psych'? I have had several students raise the question in class recently. Some of the students are anthropology majors and have heard reference to triune brain as a neural substrate for ritual behaviors, including chant. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks for any help?
