On 28 Jan 2004, Jim Clark wrote in response to Carol Stonecipher's 
insensitive taunt of her frozen Northern neighbours:

I would expect a little more insight into our national condition from 
a resident of Winnipeg, the coldest place on earth. The one thing 
that someone subjected to -30 deg weather (that's -22 to you, Carol, 
may you never experience it) knows is never to face it. That way, 
your nose doesn't fall off.
