James, I am curious about what an "extra credit opportunity on campus"
is. If it is not too much trouble, could you describe it in some
detail? It sounds like a student can carry out some sort of academic
task that can earn him/her extra credit for any course. Is that right?

Miguel

Jim says:
Glad to oblige. Actually, this wasn't an academic task.

The Director of Health Resources put on a Volunteer Fair for the
campus, and asked instructors to consider giving students extra credit
for attending.

I don't oblige all requests for extra credit, but I try to offer 1-2
per semester.

At no surprise to some, the students who need it the most don't take
advantage of the opportunities

Cheers,
Jim G
