Ah, Allen.  A purist.  I am pretty sure I speak for Stephen Black, and of
course, for myself, in saying, "We like that in a person."

My book on quotations says it's from the New Testament, specifically: from
Matthew.  Here's the whole quote:

"Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings
Thou hast perfected praise."
