KALAMAZOO COLLEGE Psychology Department seeks to fill a temporary, one-year position beginning Fall 2004. Ph.D. (or evidence of imminent completion) required. Salary competitive and consistent with level of experience. Primary responsibility is teaching six undergraduate courses per year (two in each of three 11-week terms). The teaching load includes two or more sections of introductory psychology and, depending on curricular needs, courses in the area of ones specialty. Psychologists in any non-clinical or non-social specialty are encouraged to apply; preference will be given those with demonstrated ability teaching introductory undergraduate courses, cognitive psychology, or health psychology. Some support for research is available.
Kalamazoo College is a highly selective nationally known liberal arts institution offering an integrated undergraduate experience that weaves a traditional liberal arts curriculum into educational experiences in both domestic and international settings. In a recent study, Kalamazoo College ranked 10th among more than 1500 colleges and universities in the proportion of graduates going on to earn doctoral degrees in Psychology.
