On a serious note. It's strange, but we just received a fiat from on high
that the faculty is not allowed to sell texts to the itinerant used book
sellers. It seems that someone amongst us has been literally in the
business of deliberately ordering quite a few, and I mean quite a few,
review copies for the sole purpose of augmenting his/her income.
My personal decision had been that if I requested a book, I was morally
bound to keep it or give it to a student. If I received an unsolicited
book, all bets were off.
I just give everything away or stow it on my already crowded shelves.
Make it a good day.
