Reminds me of the time I submitted a manuscript (without my famous
advisor's name) to the most prestigious journal in my field. The editor
sent it back without sending it out for _blind_ review. She listed three
reasons for sending it back. Every one of the reasons was factually
incorrect. She didn't read it. In other words, she didn't recognize my
name, didn't recognize my school; so she assumed that my paper couldn't be
worthy of her journal. I called my famous advisor and asked if I could put
his name on it. He said "sure" and the paper has since been published in a
different journal.
