Best Practices in Teaching Research Methods & Statistics in Psychology October 1-2, 2004 Marriott Northwest Hotel, Atlanta, Georgia
The Society for the Teaching of Psychology, the National Institute for Teaching of Psychology, and the Kennesaw State University Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, are excited to announce the third in the "Best Practice in Teaching Psychology" series. Following the successful Assessment (2002) and Teaching Introductory Psychology (2003) conferences, this year's focus will be on teaching research methods and statistics in the psychology curriculum. The two-day conference will be held at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest. Modeled after the format of the previous conferences, the meeting will include keynote speakers, concurrent sessions, and several poster sessions. The opening keynote address will be delivered by Roger Kirk and the evening keynote by Steve Davis. A complete conference program and registration information is available on the Web at http://ksumail.kennesaw.edu/~bhill/methods/index.htm We have already had a very strong response to the conference and anticipate a capacity attendance. Space is limited and we strongly encourage you to register early. Once we reach our capacity, additional registrations will be put on a waiting list for openings due to cancellations. Our target audience includes teachers and administrators from high school, two-year, four-year college/university, and graduate school settings.
