Miguel, there is something else I've done. In a fit of impishness,
after talking about the disrespect of having a cell phone go off, in the middle
of the class I have arranged to have someone call me on my cell phone.
When it goes off and the attention to whatever is going on is broken, I offer a
"see what I mean?" It worked. I never did it again. But,
maybe I'll do that more often at the beginning of class in the coming
semesters.
