So is any form of painful punishment, Michael. But, like beating, burning,
or cutting a child it isn't really recommended. Hold out your hands--you
need your knuckles rapped for that one!

There is some experimentation  on the use of hot sauce to modify behavior.
It appears that some parents have told some of their kids to open their
mouths,stick out their tongues and one or two drops of hot sauce is
applied to the tongue.This aversion experience is significant enough to
decrease subsequent intolerable behavior.
