TIPSTERS:

We're considering moving from a "choose courses from each of several subareas" distribution requirement structure to a more open one (e.g., choose 5 from 7 core courses, with all else being electives). I'm curious as to what other tipsters' psych major requirements are. For purposes of this discussion, I'm not concerned with stats, methods, intro, capstone, or research, but rather whether or not your requirements group areas together (e.g., cognitive, physio. learning might be one, social, personality, and abnormal might be another) or leave them more open.
We have 5 cores areas (psychobiology, cognitive, social, psychopathology, & developmental) here at LVC, and students must take 1 course from each area.
