I have a student who is interested in doing some research using ambiguous figures like the young girl/old woman or the husband/father-in-law that have been on a number of the recent sites that have been shared. At the moment, he is considering contrasting young vs middle-age participants on what they see or possibly showing some similar looking pictures that either highlight the younger or older version of the picture then showing the ambiguous figure to see if the previous pictures influenced what the participants saw. This is still at the idea stage so he is open to suggestions and is looking for any articles or books that might be relevant.

Any suggestions, resources (particularly less well known pictures that could be used), websites, etc you may have to help with the idea/design stages would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill
