Assistant Professor, Developmental: The Psychology Department at Nazareth College invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning in August 2005. A Ph.D. is required and experience in teaching is preferred. Candidates should have expertise in lifespan development with an emphasis on middle age and aging. The successful candidate will also direct the departmental program in gerontology that includes a service-learning component. As such the candidate should possess skills necessary to build and nurture contacts within the community in developing opportunities for student internships. The ideal candidate will also be able to teach courses in areas such as exceptionality and cognition across the lifespan. Teaching responsibilities include courses in areas of interest, core courses in the major program, and courses on the College=92s general education curriculum. Candidates should be committed to excellence in undergraduate education and to collaborative involvement of students in a research program.
