Tenure Track Faculty Position in Social Psychology. The Department of
Psychology, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) invites applications
for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level in the
area of Social Psychology, beginning August, 2005. Areas of research
interest are open; however, we are particularly interested in those
candidates whose interests complement and/or enhance current areas of
faculty research, including health, cognitive neuroscience, and individual
and community development. Requirements for the position include a Ph.D., an
active research program, a commitment to quality teaching at the
undergraduate and graduate level, and the potential to attract extramural
research funding. 

The Department of Psychology at UMKC (www.umkc.edu/psychology) is a young,
growing, and dynamic organization. The Department offers an APA-accredited
doctoral program in Clinical Psychology (with a health emphasis) and a
Master�s program, and contributes to the campus' Interdisciplinary Ph.D.
program.  UMKC offers a broad range of opportunities for research
collaboration both with other schools on campus, such as Medicine and
Dentistry, as well as neighboring academic institutions and community
organizations. Candidates who facilitate our department's community and
campus collaborations will be particularly attractive. The position will
