Annette- Since I have a filter and someone else has labeled that as a moderator then
at least one moderator agrees with your assessment. :) Who could possibly argue with
it (and I whole-heartedly agree that your private operational definition of humorous
must be the same as or similar to mine because I laughed out loud at your posts).

But I must protest someone else's post criticising spelling errors in Michael's post.
:) NExt thing you konw we are going to devlop standrds and expectations for excllence!
:) Seriously, I don't think we really want to get too picky about spelling in email- I
have enough trouble with that - (and I do make allowances on everything but final
drafts from my students- grammar too as that last phrase will attest!). Take care
everyone. Back to grading exams (200+ pages of history and systems mid-terms).
Wheeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tim Shearon, PhD, MS, AB, AB, 9 page vita, full professor, past
chair of faculty evaluation, department chairperson, 14+ years same institution, yada,
yada, . . .

Well, I thought I was safe since "I" interpret my posts to be humorous, of
social signicance, reflecting Pop Culture and being non-Eurocentric. Where is
the operational definition for these terms on this list? I decided to
operationally define them for myself and I have determined that since my file
has to go in next week, I fit and I can confidently include tipster of the year
on my CV. It should definitely put me over the top during deliberations about
the quality of my other qualifications, such as the level of the journals in
which I publish and the challenging nature of my courses and tests.
