POSITION:     Assistant Professor, Psychology (Tenure Track)
    APPLICATION

    SALARY RANGE:    Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience

    RESPONSIBILITIES:    The position requires teaching in areas related to
biopsychology, drug use and action, and general psychology. Other duties
include advising students, guiding graduate theses, developing a research
program in the biopsychology/psychopharmacology area and continuing
preparation and service.


    QUALIFICATIONS
    REQUIRED:    The position requires the doctorate in psychology with
specialized training in biopsychology/psychopharmacology. Applicants are
expected to be able to teach general and specialized courses that support
the curriculum of the department.  Applicants are expected to be familiar
with applications of new technologies to higher education. Applicants are
also expected to provide high quality teaching and advising and to develop a
research program involving students.


    OTHER
    CONSIDERATIONS:    Willingness to teach in areas such as
neuropsychology and behavioral medicine to support clinical psychology and
gerontology programs desirable. As is ability to incorporate issues of
gender, race and ethnicity in course materials.
