I guess this begs the question of why only a few studies have been made
and they have all been transparently limited or flawed. Is it because no
respectable researcher is interested in studying it or there is no valid
way to put it to an empirical test? Or do academics just have a blind
side (as everyone does) when it comes to investigating things so close
to home? Or is there some other possible explanation for this lack of
study?
