OK, I believe you're wrong.  At

this is given as:

Cybergremlins seem to have inserted the "r" in "Mr" in Richard's version. 
Instead,
these are merely the first name initial "M", and carry no implication for 
academic
rank. It would be rather bad taste to insist on designating lower academic rank 
in a
listing of authors.
