Assistant Professor of Psychology


Frostburg State University seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor in General Experimental or Physiological Psychology to begin August 2006. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach in undergraduate psychology program (research methods sequence, Physiological Psychology, and additional courses in area of expertise) and possible teaching in the undergraduate multidisciplinary UEI or our M.S. Counseling Psychology Program. Teaching load averages 12 credits per semester. Undergraduate advising and serving as an advisor to Psi Chi or Psychology Club expected. Commitment to teaching excellence and continued professional development, sponsoring undergraduate student research, fostering a climate accepting of students from diverse backgrounds, and integrating multicultural issues into relevant courses. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Experimental or Physiological/Biopsychology/Cognitive Neuroscience by July 2006. Teaching experience with evidence of teaching effectiveness.
