Bob Park in this week's "What's New" highlights an interesting and, I believe, an important speech given by Cornell University's interim president Hunter R. Rawlings III on the current challenge posed by the proponents of Intelligent Design. Although it is directed toward the members of Cornell University, it's a wide-ranging statement about the current "cultural conflict" and the role to be played by those in higher education.
