There was a suggestion that our Department should adopt a specific
theoretical framework to "provide students with a structured system
rather than the present eclectic and 'loose' paradigm that we are using
at the moment". (Theoretical framework refers to broad paradigms such
as the biopsychosocial model as well as more defined paradigms such as
psychoanalytic, cognitive-learning, etc.) I would like to know what the
situation in other countries is. Also, how colleagues and students
experience these two different viewpoints.
