TIPsters - I have been asked by a colleague at another institution to post a = question to tap the TIPsters' collective expertise concerning the IDEA = instrument that is available for use in teaching evaluation. In short, = the instrument is being considered for use, and faculty in some = disciplines have significant reservations while those in other = disciplines seem favorable. Some have offered the opinion that the IDEA = is most appropriately considered an assessment instrument and seems = inappropriate for the evaluation of teaching.
If you have experience with this instrument, I would be grateful to = learn your thoughts about it, either to the list or offline; I will = forward these to my colleague for their use.
