I think at one time it was, but there are some who say it has become something else [cf http://www.fundamentalbiblechurch.org/Foundation/fbcvanim.htm] I honestly don't know. I tend to be suspicious of Christian leaders who spend so much time in the limelight, but I digress (or do I?) Anyhoo, it's important to understand that "evangelical Christian" and "fundamentalist Christian" are not identical terms. > (Would you agree that Rexella is h-o-t? Sorry, I got > distracted.) It does seem that those trying to understand the West Memphis > murders were quick to bring Satanism into the picture. I guess there are at least two ways of looking at it -- those who argue Satanism really is at work, and those who argue the IDEA of it can unduly influence kids. Methinks you will find the typical evangelical view is more concerned with what happens when people don't have God IN their lives, as opposed to what they DO have. At any rate, thanks for the information, and clarifications. Jim Guinee --- You are currently subscribed to tips as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
