The Department of Psychology at Mount Union College invites applications
for two tenure-track positions in psychology to begin August, 2006. The
department offers majors in psychology and cognitive and behavioral
neuroscience. Both positions involve teaching students in both major
tracks. The first position is for an Assistant Professor in Biological
Psychology. Primary responsibilities may include teaching a variety of
courses in the biological bases of behavior. Additional
responsibilities may include teaching introductory psychology, research
methods and data analysis, and behavioral neuroscience seminars. Ph.D.
in Experimental or Biological Psychology or Behavioral Neuroscience
preferred. The second position is in Cognitive Psychology. Primary
responsibilities include teaching a course in cognition and memory and
courses in research methods and data analysis. Additional
responsibilities in the department may include teaching introductory
psychology, history of psychology, and the senior research seminar.
Ph.D. in Cognitive, Experimental, or a closely related area within
psychology is preferred. Rank for this position will be dependent upon
qualifications. For both positions, candidates who show an interest in
involving undergraduates in their research are preferred. The Psychology
Department enjoys newly constructed facilities including neuroscience,
behavioral, cognitive and observational laboratories.

four year, residential coeducational liberal arts college with 126
full-time faculty members and approximately 2,000 students, including
minority and international students. Facilities are modern, the campus
is pleasant, and the College has well-rounded cultural and social
programs. Alliance is located near Canton, Akron, and Youngstown and is
approximately 60 miles southeast of Cleveland and 75 miles west of
Pittsburgh.
