It will be worth reading the details. The Mediterranean diet, as far as I know, has never received a test as thorough as this 'low fat' study. It is possible (as I have suspected for a long time) that a neglected variable is amount we eat (acts of omission rather than comission) (green tea, blueberries and garlic aside!). Relative risk of disease and death does vary predictably with body mass index.
