I shared the story with my students, and they were curious to know if this program is being used anywhere besides the places mentioned in the article. Any of this done at any of your colleges, universities or cities?
Beth, it's a large part of what I've been doing for a living at NIDA since 1998. :) A literature search on "contingency management" will turn up a lot of papers on it. To see it applied outside a research setting, look at the drug-court system, where abstinence is frequently reinforced with tokens, gift certificates, vouchers, and so on. There's a research literature on that, and you can also find it with a Google News search like: <http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&ned=&ie=UTF-8&q=%22drug+court%22+OR+%22drug+courts%22+&btnG=Search+News> --David Epstein [EMAIL PROTECTED] --- You are currently subscribed to tips as: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
