Paul- Interesting hypothesis (at least to me). :) Is this true. I've always 
heard that but I've never seen any evidence (ok, I'm being a bit lazy this time

And IF smokers weigh less than nonsmokers, that could reduce the 
statistical advantages of lower BMI.
