Position: Psychology Instructor. Nine-month, full-time position
beginning August 2006. 

Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in Introduction to
Psychology, Abnormal or Social Psychology, and possibly others. There
will also be opportunities to participate in department and university
committees and activities.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Psychology or closely related area 
preferred. Master's degree in Psychology or closely related area plus
advanced study toward the doctoral degree required. College teaching
experience (teaching assistantship experience is acceptable) and
demonstrated potential as an outstanding teacher required. 
Qualifications include the completion of a successful interview; a
demonstration of teaching and skills; excellent communication skills
(both verbal and written); and the ability to evaluate and advise
undergraduate students.

Essential Functions: Effective teaching and student advisement;
continuing scholarly growth; and service to the department, the
university and the academic community, including some committee work.

Status/Salary:  Nine-month, full-time Instructor position. Salary and 
step in rank dependent on qualifications and experience. Salary highly
