This is most interesting. Apart from the iceberg quote, what is most notable is the explicit casting of the primary debate in psychology between the defenders of the intellect and the defenders of the will. This is a literally Medieval view of the field (e.g., Scotus vs. Okham, echos of which ran forward through to the mid-19th century). It's a pity that the writer of the obit isn't identified.
