A long-shot might be milieu therapy, which apparently has some aspects which might earn it the alternative title of "social therapy". It's rather vague in details, but I seem to recall that it has something to do with getting patients together in groups, and letting them make their own decisions and suffering the consequences. The only place I ever heard of milieu therapy was in Paul and Lenz's (1977) classic study of treatment of institutionalized psychotics. In their study they arranged a head-to-head competition between a token economy approach with what they called its most credible alternative, milieu therapy ( the token economy won hands down). I don't think it's been heard from much since. On the other hand, Paul and Lentz called their token economy approach "social-learning", so perhaps this could qualify as "social therapy" as well.
