It was clearly political.
I've got a candidate's sticker on my shirt.
We're targeting swing voters and trying to identify their issues.
I'm working under the aegis of the local office of the state Democratic Party (since it's Minnesota, it's the DFL -- Democratic-Farmer-Labor).
And while the list I was working with was targeting swing voters (at this stage we're not interested in committed Republicans OR Democrats; although we are going after those who have not voted in the past few elections) the lists are less than reliable.
In the words of Will Rogers:
"I ain't a member of no organized political party -- I'm a Demycrat!"
