History & Theory of Psychology
The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Health, York University, invites
applications for a tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor
level.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to develop and
maintain a successful research program in the history and/or theory of the
discipline, and be qualified to teach core graduate and undergraduate
courses
in historical and/or theoretical topics as well as
courses in other areas of psychology.
York’s History & Theory of Psychology graduate area is one of the premier
programs of its kind in the world, granting multiple Master’s and Doctoral
degrees each year. It runs a monthly colloquium series
during the academic year, and has strong ties to other history and
philosophy of
science and technology units in the university.
