FYI: There's an open-access review of the state of knowledge on Alzheimer's disease just published in _Brain_. The occasion is the centennial of Alzheimer's presentation on the disease at a meeting in Germany on November 3, 1906. The journal also has a few other open- access articles on Azheimer's to mark the occasion.
The review is: Hodge, R. (2006). Alzheimer's centennial legacy: origins, landmarks and the current status of knowledge concerning cognitive aspects.
