When I was in the sixth grade there was a entry in the local
phone book for some chap named "Donald Duck." Of course we called him
up and made quacking sounds.
Is it true that Michael Sylvester is changing his name to
Felicia Sylvester?

His obituary appears today in the November, 2006 issue of the British
Medical Journal.
With stereotypic British understatement, the obituary writer notes,
"Having a keen sense of humour, he enjoyed many situations where his
name
led to confusion".
Consequently, I expect that he wouldn't have minded this note from me on
his passing.
