CALL FOR APPLICATIONS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SOCIETY FOR THE TEACHING OF PSYCHOLOGY
The Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP), Division 2 of the American Psychological Association (APA), invites applications for the position of Executive Director (ED). The appointment is for a 5-year term (renewable), beginning in August, 2007. Minimum qualifications for the position include familiarity with STP, preferably having served in some capacity in the organization (e.g., officer, committee/task force chair), and working knowledge of key software applications (e.g., database, desktop publishing). Responsibilities of the position include managing membership records, developing and printing selected publications and communications, maintaining and archiving relevant Society records, serving as an ex officio member of several STP committees, providing support for Society officers, and serving as the Society's liaison to APA, the American Psychological Society, and other teaching organizations as assigned by the STP President. The position includes an annual salary commensurate with experience, and a budget for clerical support and travel.
