Yes, my students from Poland and other countries in Eastern and Western
Europe can't believe how "awful" the burgers, fries, etc. are at the US 
McDonald's.  Clearly the McDonald's in their countries use a much higher
quality meat, much less fat, etc. but the prices are higher also.  Guess
consumers get what they are willing to pay for.
