Yup, right up there with the Egyptians (consciously) incorporated important irrational numbers (e.g., pi, phi) into their architecture. I'm afraid that this article reads more like the old Western "Orientialism" (i.e., the "mysterious East") of times past (and of which Edward Said attempted to disabuse us) than anything I've read in a long time.
