The emergence of the left in the Americas Chavez in Venezuela,Ortega in Nicaragua,Morales in Bolivia,Michele Batchelet in Chile and Correa in Ecuador have inspired interest in the indigenous psychology of the region.Of particular interests are concepts of time and space.For example among the Aymara indigenous people of Bolivia,the past is ahead and the future is in the past.This type of conceptualization illustrates the problems Eurocentric and U.S-centric paradigms would encounter in the Coppercentric world.
