I find it interesting that hospital now brag about how safe heir hospitals are when those safety issues were forced upon them by the treat of having to compensate people for the reckless damage they have done in the past.

And I am fascinated about the fact that hospitals brag about how safe their hospitals are when it was reported recently in some journal or other (I can't find it for the life of me) that approximately 90,000 people each year die in hospitals for reasons unrelated to their admission diagnosis. In Indianapolis, due to a screw-up in medications, 4 premies died, and many die of antibiotic-resistant staph infections. I worked in hospitals for 8 years and hope I never have to go to one for any reason.
