Ignoring the rudeness and lack of respect for the author I find it a
learningful experience to find that there is a thinker and a feeler who wishes
to post some very personal and touching life experiences on a psychology site.
I find myself enriched, enthralled and amazed that a historian is willing to
share his thoughts and feelings with us. From what I've seen herein in the lack
of depth and quality of the postings we certainly need the help.

Although I've copied many of the wonderful web site you folks have posted the
copies I've made of Schmier's posting have gone far beyond my computer's memory.
I teach 2 sections of educational psychology. I've copied his thoughtful
posting on caring in an uncaring environment and distributed it in class for
discussion. Many students have taken their copy to the schools they work at and
distributed them there.
Sometimes I send copies of other postings to various administrators who I think
might find a kinship with Louis' thoughts

I for one take no offense at those loving postings that give us an opportunity
to think about what it is we do and to whom are we doing it. I also do not cede
ownership to others just because they have the time to make many postings of
whatever it is that attracts their attention and find nothing holds them back
for tell us all.

Write on Louis! You have an appreciative audience in me! And I as a long
teaching psychology teacher looks forward to each and every one of your
musings. And for those who are so sensitive to the hint that you might not be
as good as you think you are just delete any of the postings by Schmier without
opening them.

Be of good cheer.

Louis,

Let me ask you two questions:

1) What did you hope to achieve by your "caring" post?
2) Before giving an answer to the first, what did you assume about people on
this list?

Michael, accuse all you wish, but you still haven't answered the question I
posed.

Make it a good day.
