A new, international, peer-reviewed, open access eJournal, entitled
International Journal for the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning
(IJ-SoTL) at http://www.georgiasouthern.edu/ijsotl/ will be published by
the Center for Excellence in Teaching at Georgia Southern University
(Statesboro, Georgia, USA) with the inaugural issue scheduled for
January 2007. The deadline for submissions for the first issue is
November 1, 2006.

Note : The inaugural "The SoTL Commons: A Conference for the Scholarship
of Teaching & Learning" will be held November 1 - 2, 2007 on the campus
of Georgia Southern University. Keynote Speaker will be Dr.
Mary Taylor Huber (Carnegie Academy for the Advancement of Teaching) and
the Featured Speaker will be Dr. Robert Beichner (North Carolina State
University). Early registration is underway and the submission of
propoals starts on January 15, 2007. The conference web site is at
