No book, but here are two articles that I think are a must read:

Allison, Smith, & Morgan, 2003
and
Homant & Kennedy, 1998.

I don't have the refs handy but I know I found them on psychinfo.

Both talk about evidence that sort of 'debunks' psychological profiling, at 
least.
